Penistone Show 2010 - Saturday 11th September 2010

On September 11th we had a stall at the Penistone Show.

We had greetings cards and knitted dolls on sale along with information about BIADS to hand out. The dolls had been made by Pam Brook and included Noddy, Big Ears, Postman Pat, Iggle Piggle and Macca Pacca - all designed and lovingly made by Pam.

The weather was typical of Britain: one minute we were bathed in warm sunshine, the next the rain was pouring down helped along by a gusty wind. Thank goodness for our gazebo!

We made £270 on the day and gave out lots of information and talked to lots of people: Jean made her debut on Penistone FM to announce our plans to set up a dementia cafe in Penistone very soon.

The show itself is amazing with all manner of animals to look at with lots of stalls and demonstrations taking place.

The food tent had some fantastic breads, sweets, pies, soups etc on sale - needless to say we visited that tent several times!!!
