Help for today - Hope for tomorrow
On Friday 3rd September a coach carrying our members set off for Derbyshire. It was a beautiful, sunny day - we couldn't have asked for better weather.
Our first stop was at a small shopping outlet where we had the chance to do a little shopping and have a spot of lunch before going on to Chatsworth House.
Chatsworth Park was very busy as there was a Country Fair taking place that day however the fair didn't interfere with our visit as we went around the house before taking the chance for a cuppa or an ice cream and a look around the shops.
In the dressing room some of us dressed up for the occasion!
Pity we couldn't stop for dinner with these folks!
We then set off for our final stop of the day at the Farm Shop but our shopping took second place when we were treated to a 25 minute display by the Red Arrows - for many this made the day very special - it was amazing to see the way they flew in formation and split up and joined up again - all at close proximity!!! Makes you proud to be British!!!
After they finally flew off into the distance we managed to do a quick 'supermarket sweep' and have a cuppa before our return journey to Barnsley.
What a fantastic start to our days out.
